PAWN STARS on the HISTORY CHANNEL

I just watched Pawn Stars, on the History Channel. People will bring INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE collectibles into the pawn shop. Are these people MORONS? Some of these things should go to an auction house.

The stars of the show are the founder of the pawn shop (Richard Harrison) & his son (Rick Harrison), who both own the store. Two other "stars" of the show are Corey (Rick's son) & the comic relief Chumlee (remember "Chumley the Walrus"  the sidekick of Tennessee Tuxedo.)

The episode which aired on Monday Jan 25, 2010, set me off. Corey, who thinks that he knows it all & Chumlee, who thinks that he knows anything, were talking to a guy who brought in 50 expensive Pez dispensers. Chumley was making disparaging remarks about it being a collection for kids. Corey offerered a ridiculous amount of money for the 50 Pez containers. In other words, the two guys were each talking out of an orifice which wasn't there own mouth.

The guy had a Mickey Mouse Pez in the original box, which looked like it was from the very early 60s. A Batman Pez with a moveable cape, which was also in the original box. A Casper the Friendly Ghost Pez was also among the 50. Corey offered $1,000 for the 50. They have to make a profit, but come on, do a little bit of research. I realize that a pawn shop is not the place to get top dollar & I wish these customers that come into the shop & want to sell a sunken ship bell, a single engine plane, or antique Civil War Naval firearms (incredibly rare anti-personal gun) would realize that too.
